And now it’s time for Gene to enter while searching for Miles, and confront his fears of being turned into a mascot suit.

No one was ever hurt for being polite… Unless they were being sarcastic and just pretending to be polite. OTOH being polite may not protect you from getting hurt if the other fellow really wants to hurt you.

Wait, that’s it? That can’t be all! At the beginning, it shows Miles running for his life! And what happened to the bullies? No way they would give up like that!

Well that was pretty anticlimactic.

At least being a Halloween arc I thought it was fitting to have a break from reality, unlike the ice-cream truck and the superpowers arcs, which I felt just didn’t suit this comic at all.

They may have faced their fears, but what about those big goons that were chasing them? And what about all that lost candy? It’s been a rough Halloween.

I thought this could have gone one for weeks! There have been story lines that lasted a month or so before!

There are still three cartoons left before Hallowe’en night is over (two if the Sunday strip doesn’t sync up with the weekday continuity). Perhaps Mr. Bondia has a last-minute twist up his sleeve.

He should have said, “okay, now that we are done with the tricks, where the heck is my candy?”
