I’ve been feeding mallard ducks since the Spring. Last week I left town to go hunting. Without that daily food source the ducks have finally moved on. There are still lots of geese hanging around. I think they’ll disappear after the first good snowfall here in northern Maine.

Thousands of Canada geese brave the winter and stay in Canada now even though the temperature dips to minus 40 at times, often for two or three weeks.

Most of those migrants have to travel light, Pilsner. They don’t have the rich wardrobe you can draw upon!
