Hobbes strikes again!

“Fool me once, shame on you.Fool me twice, shame on me.” That’s the second time in 3 days Hobbes has gotten you, Calvin.

He ought to be dealt with…..

The fact that this came out a couple days after the marbles one instead of immediately after makes it funnier.

I always wondered if Hobbes purposefully stole/hid the marbles and cards so Calvin would say that both times.

Calvin really should be careful of what he says around Hobbes.

2 for 2. Or Hobbies 2. Calvin nill…..

That’s two, furball!

Whoever (whomever ?) said that you ‘were playing with a ’full deck’ ? I don’t believe that the subject has ever ‘come up’ before.

I feel like in a collection I read they put this one and the other one right next to each other – and I agree with other commenters, it’s funnier with the day or two pause in between.

When Calvin goes to McDonald’s, Hobbes always tells him to count the fries in his Happy Meal to make sure he wasn’t shorted a few.

BURN!

Calvin has certainly been the subject of some off-beat observations the last two days.

I friend of my wife was a sweet girl, but a complete bubblehead. She seemed to be in an eternal fog. I came into the room she was in and he was staring at her glasses. I asked he what was wrong and she said “I have a screw loose”. Closest I’ve ever came to wetting myself laughing

Slow cognition – a Cal trait.

Little slow on the uptake these days.

Calvin, putting a pile of Legos into a toy truck: Hey, I’m two bricks short of a load!"

Calvin, as “Spaceman Spiff”: “Hey, I’m a Space Cadet!”

Calvin, after spilling a bunch of saltines on himself: “Hey, I’m crackers!”

What’s worse is that the last panel is actually two nights later this time!

I hope this arc goes a few days. It’s entertaining!

Calvin’s comments would be funnier if he said them around Susie, or anyone who could hear them. The tiger cannot tell anyone else what Calvin said.
