Comics with all its “lies” are easier on the spirit and mental well-being than mainstream and/or social media.

They’re not lies, Bear. They’re fictional stories from the artiste’s imagination meant for fun and entertainment, not learning or as a source for reports.

What? Is it a lie that that huge bear speaks a human language?

“Now for the poet [that is, the writer of imaginative fiction], he nothing affirms, and therefore never lies. For, as I take it, to lie is to affirm that to be true which is false…. And therefore, though he recount things not true, yet because he tells them not for true, he lies not” – Sir Philip Sidney, The Defense of Poesy (aka The Apology for Poetry), ca. 1580

I love Bear’s expression in the last panel. He look so serious. It’s best to never lie to a talking bear.

No need to get upset, Bear. You are a comic strip character too.

I am not sure – but didn’t Mork from Ork have a problem with this also?
