    The past fifty(ish) generations, all building on the “work” of those who came before. You can’t create this big a mess in a single generation, and you can’t get out of it in just one, either.

    If you’re that worried about it Cynthia, you should give up your phone or at least make sure it’s made from only recycled parts (or maybe only buy used phones).

    I once activated the alerts for severe weather on my smartphone, figuring it would be a good feature to have. Within days my smartphone blasted an alert at 4:00 AM. I awoke from my slumbers thinking there might be a tornado bearing down on my house. What a got was an alert for “dense fog.” Severe weather alerts are now turned off.
