Hate to say it BUT………compared to her customer, Roz is a ’skinny-minny ! ! !

It’s like those talking crosswalk you push and they reminding you with, “weight, weight, weight.” I know, I know!

If the waitress added “long” to her sentence, she could’ve avoided the misunderstanding.

Context is always important, some folks take offense where none was implied or intended.

Yep… folks just itchin’ to be insulted

Maybe Roz actually meant it as weight

When I hear this I sometimes pat my belly and say “I’m not that fat.” Then we both laugh.

Another one what almost certainly cannot be translated for audiences who use a different language.

It’s possible for an alternative pun to work, if the language and idioms happen to allow it. Not likely.

Is it any wonder non-English speakers have a difficult time learning our language?

I guess there are Karens even in the comic world.

Just can’t be nice to some folks, no matter how one might try. They search for opportunity to be offended or are alerted to an easy mark for toil-free exploitation. For some, nice/considerate is the new weak apparently..

Reminds me some of the beer and pizza parties our Engineering Group would have. Both items were supposed to come at the same time. But the beer always seemed to come faster.

Heard a comedian who worked retail. He used to mock customers. This was one line he used.To another customer wearing a rug — "How would you like … to pay?
