Sushi is NOT raw fish. Sushi is a Japanese food preparation style that MAY contain raw fish, but doesn’t always. Fish (or other seafood types) is only one of hundreds or thousands of ingredients.
That’s the one word my husband detests when it come to liking or doing something. Not EVERYbody likes or does something. Just because it’s popular doesn’t mean everyone does it. For someone to assume everyone does, is being arrogant.
Both sushi and jazz are interesting and different, so not everyone likes them. They can become acquired tastes, though. It took years for my husband to get me to like sushi. He had been stationed in Japan and loved it. It is now one of our family’s favorite treats. Our elementary-aged daughters regularly ask to go have sushi for dinner. It matters what you pick. Their favorites are the cucumber roll, eel, and tamago (sweet egg). BTW, I am vegetarian, so my choices do not involve fish.
I never even CONSIDERED sushi until I was over 50; neither did my wife. Now? Just TRY to keep it away from us. Go ahead. MAKE my day.Do you feel lucky, PUNK?Just – no squid – it’s too rubbery. Octopus is okay, though. And I’m allergic to shrimp, darn it!

My family is split right down the middle: my husband and older daughter like sushi, my younger daughter and I don’t. However, we ALL like jazz!
