That’s better than a latter day exchange of “Whazzzuuuppp?!?” repeated a few times.

These days even a real nickel won’t take you very far.

I actually have a wooden nickel. I was working at TG&Y in the early 70s and an older gentleman offered me a wooden nickel. I said, “I’ve always heard of wooden nickels, but I’ve never seen one. Thank you!” He was sure surprised that expressed delight at receiving one and being so happy about it. I think I spoiled his fun. He wanted me to be embarrassed about ‘taking a wooden nickel.’ He didn’t know me at all. :D I was tickled pink to have it because it was a novelty item. His wife didn’t let him pout about my gleeful reaction for long, and thanked me for taking it so he’d quit trying to embarrass people. It’s in my jewelry box to this day. A moment of delight in wood.
