Even I hated beef stew.

I did that as a child. As a teen, I also would tell each parent the other was ready to leave gatherings. I confessed this to my mother, as an adult, and she told me they knew and would leave if they wanted to also. Letting me think I was so clever. LOL! (▀̿Ĺ̯▀̿ ̿)

My mom was health-food crazy; when dad cooked we feasted.

One day, years ago, my husband made a beef stew, but it came out a very unsightly and unappetizing shade of green. His father, he & I were all hesitant to try it, but it turned out to be the best stew any of us ever had. All that said…I’d go for pork chops.
