I wonder what Beethoven’s piano sonata would sound like on an accordion. Pianos and accordions do have similar looking keyboards, so it should sound pretty close… shouldn’t it?

No self-respecting AM station back in the 50’s wouldn’t have at least a Beethoven LP or two hanging around…

On an episode of M*A*S*H, Charles turned up his nose to a USO accordion player, saying he couldn’t respect an instrument that one had to wear in order to play. I wonder what he thought of Sousaphones?

On a semi-related thought, I have a cajon, which one plays while sitting on it.

I used to have a lot of fun as a teen in the late nineties calling the local radio stations to request songs then scrambling to hit record on my radio/cassette player making tapes of the “perfect Playlists” lol. And I still have a cassette tape from then that my then boyfriend (now husband) made for me full of love songs tho I don’t have anything that’ll play it

I am very sympathetic!
