This right here is the best way to exercise… Your workout partner is your best friend and what could be a better motivator than that cute face?? A win-win for human and dog alike.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Friday! Have a great day, all!
My cat is my personal trainer. We walk on a dirt cul-de-sac in front of the house. Sometimes she walks with me and does the “agility training” thing by weaving between my ankles. Mostly, like any good coach, she sits and watches, grooming but shifting position if I am out of sight for more than a minute. It makes a big difference that another personality cares enough to go through this boring routine, even if it is drizzling.
Often, we go around the corner to a long strip of grassy right-of-way. She might sit on the fence for a better view. I tell her when I’m ready to go back to the house. I walk away, then come back when she does not follow. She makes me do this three times (extra laps) before she decides I have had enough and we go in for breakfast. Cats!
When my older daughter visits with her two dogs I offer to take them for walks. Yes, it is a really good workout. Fast spurts followed by very quick stops for sniffs. Repeat.
It is raining today. In February. That is just so wrong. We really need more snow and colder temperatures. If anyone has either one they want to get rid of please send it here (that goes for the east coast people who seem to have stolen our winter snow).Have a fantastic Friday and I hope you are looking forward to a fun weekend.

My dog does a much better power walk, whether you want it or not.

The thought for the walk was there. The follow-through? Not so much. Oops … better luck next time, comic Cathy.
HI, MOM. Happy Friday, Clan.
