I make my own, and won’t eat the canned stuff anymore. I follow the simple recipe of cooking up water, sugar and cranberries, but once it’s off the stove I add about 12 ounces of unsweetened applesauce. Mellows it a little.
Let’s pretend we like homemade cranberry sauce this year.
Thanksgiving is not about eating foods we especially like. We’re Americans; we could eat them all year long. It is about a special meal with special foods that mark this as an occasion rather than just another football weekend.

We buy it for one — and exactly one — member of the family.

Think of Cranberry Sauce as a holiday decoration, not a food.

Why the cranberry sauce hate, it’s great with turkey. It’s also great on leftover turkey sandwiches.

Yes. But not that premade processed canned stuff. It’s much better when you make it yourself.

No canned stuff or jello.
Fresh cranberries, orange or mandarin rind, orange/mandarin pieces, green apple, all chopped. sugar, ground ginger, nutmeg. Chill.
It’s good winter treat. :)

Funny and true! It’s actually not bad as a breakfast cereal enhancer along with it spoonful of yogurt.
