Panel #6 seems to be a ”Prevent Tooth Decay” kind of message.
It may be protecting PeeWee from the raveges of tooth decay, which never looks good on a young child.
I think Ernie’s SPIKE character would look good with a mouth full of tooth decay, and Spike can probably buy and chew gum any time he wants to.
