Must be Christmas cookies – back in the day – most of the Christmas gifts we exchanged were home-made gifts – like fruit cake, cookies, fudge, blankets, pillows, hand-carved horses, hand-sewn rag dolls. Christmas cards were also usually hand made and delivered in person – not by sending them in the mail. My grandmother had a scrap book of every card she ever received and 90 % of them were hand made.

I read the Nancy strip as a child. At my age I look forward to any appearance by Fritzi Ritz.

Of interest: the Clown Face on the TV screen shows the Clown with his thumbs in his ears, sort of ”Nyah nyah… I can’t hear your complaints!"
I’m too old to remember whether or not clowns in the 1950s were shown on TV.
I never got to thoroughly enjoy television until productions like "The Sopranos” showed up.
