The idea of a string wholesaler just delivering a huge ball of string is strangely hilarious. I can only imagine him being chased by a giant cat.

“Mars or Bust”. Nancy was planning on going to Mars before the first attempts to land on the moon.

Google Marion Holland, A Big Ball of String. One of the first great books I ever read!

Charlie Brown would be jealous. Watch out for kite-eating trees, Nancy!

“Mars or Bust”? I’m going with Bust and take Fritzi to Venus. I hear there’s a spectacular view of the Mounds of Venus, this time of year. The only place comparable on Earth are the Grand Tetons. They say the ride between the two destinations is enjoyable to the connoisseur of fine things.

I think once it left Earth’s atmosphere the kite and parts of the string would burn up.

I’m so glad Nancy lives in a town where you can get string wholesale. I hate what I have to pay for string in my burg.
