This reminds me of watching a mail carrier throw someone’s package in the direction of their mailbox out by the road rather than carrying it to the door & setting it down gently. Yes, I actually witnessed that recently.

Considering the way the mail carrier so expertly jumps up and down, is this an insight that the indigenous inhabitants of the planet UFO are related to our Earthly frogs and toads?

Not to mention the fact that these creatures croak a lot. As in croak by way of death, as appetizers for the planet UFO monster community.

I’ve always had good mail carriers. When I lived in New Orleans, the carrier’s route included both my home & the Walgreens where I worked. If a package came that didn’t fit in the bow or needed a signature, he’d bring it to Walgreens. Same with the UPS guy. The one I have now, even though we have group mail boxes, & package boxes, if it doesn’t fit he’ll bring it to the door.

I think the post office does that on purpose with parcels marked “fragile”.

I think that is more like the luggage guys at the airport.

I miss my favorite mail carrier, Jimmy. We had him for years. He was the nicest man and did a great job — I live in a large high-rise condo building, and everything ran smoothly. Everyone loved him. Somehow, he remembered all our names and faces and condo numbers.

He has been away for months, getting a knee replacement. He hoped to come back to our building, but I don’t know if he can or will. I sure hope he is doing well.

I have to say, though, that our mail has been delivered with only a few minor issues during his absence. The folks have been doing a great job.

The carrier we had when we first moved here became a friend. He moved to Oklahoma and retired, my latest carrier is very nice, he brings all packages to my door, no matter how small. He also likes to talk, so unless you have time it’s best to just wave and say Thank You!

UFO is one of my favorite comics. I like the quirky humor.

My carriers are the best! I offer them cold drinks in the summer and warm ones in the winter. They always wave and say hi every day. If the neighbor gets a box they let me know too in case she is late getting home so I can pull it in for her.

Obviously, the mail carriers on Planet UFO are atypical of most. That is a good thing.
