Not relevant to today’s comic, but Dana recently make a very intriguing thread on her Blue Sky (which it unfortunately won’t let me link to) talking about how Phoebe and Her Unicorn was major therapy for her as a trans woman, since it allowed her to basically use Phoebe to explore the childhood she never had.

She also recently drew a gender-flipped version of Millie named Milo, which led to Milo getting a LOT of fan art, and Dana deciding to make it canon that Millie came out as trans sometime after Ozy and Millie ended,

It’s also written in “Lord of the Rings”.

That may explain why Phoebe wears a different outfit with each episode.
