Hey, BNFF1! I thought I’d tell you, Ember, Doodlebug and Wade what song I associate with each of you! Here goes :) You: “We Like To Party!” (1998) by Vengaboys / Doodlebug: “Nina, Pretty Ballerina” (1973) by ABBA / Ember: “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” (1939) by Judy Garland / Wade: “Sunday In New York” (1964) by Bobby Darin. Those are the songs which make me think of you guys. Happy New Year’s Eve to the Fabulous Four – I hope you have fun, fun, fun, my dear friends <3
Meh. I admit it’s a sort of new gag, plus I appreciate Francis and Teddy actually being on Nate’s side fir once, but it’s nothing special. Sort of a muted way to end 2023.
6\10. Wonder what the first arc of 2024 is. New years monopoly is very likely but maybe it’s a school arc?
This year of big Nate had lots of ups and downs but in the end, I am passionate about the comic and I wish everyone a happy new year, thanks for everything this year y’all. :)

Guys, tomorrow, I’ll be taking a mental health day. Ik New Year’s Day is probably not a great day to be off the Internet, but I feel like I really need it. My mental health has been declining a lot recently, and I need a break from this site. I’m not promising that I’ll be back on the second day of the year; in fact, I’ll probably be taking a month-long break from this site, and from social media in general. They’re probably not all going to be mental health days; just a long break from this site.
I’ve been reading comics on this site daily for the past 4 years, and it’s nice to see the comments section evolve, and it’s nice to see new people coming in to enjoy the strip, but I feel like it’s about time that I do this.
I’m going to miss reading this strip and miss reading the comments in the comments section, but I think this’ll benefit me more than hurt me.
So, with that, I hope you guys have a wonderful new year.
For those who don’t follow hockey or aren’t old enough to remember Tiger Williams’ playing days (I qualify on both accounts), he wasn’t exactly the goon many people have made him out to be.
First of all, during his playing days, hockey was a much rougher sport than what it is now and Tiger’s style of play fit in perfectly with this particular era. However, the way he played against opposing players was dependent on how they played against him – if they wanted to play dirty, he would play dirty; if they wanted to play tough but fair, he would play tough but fair.
He also had a decent career in terms of points (513 points in 962 games), scored 30+ goals in a season twice, and was named to the NHL All-Star team in the 1980-81 season.
As a final comment, he is a huge supporter of the Special Olympics and was very active with them during his playing days.
The best one would be the one without your inane rating, and blabbering about the quality of the comic. I’m sure everyone is waiting with bated breath for YOUR comic to be published.
Anybody else spot a childhood memory of Mr. Peirce’s? That hockey card in the second intro panel is the design from the 1976-77 Topps hockey cards (and the O-Pee-Chee cards in Canada). Loved that! Terrific one today.

Randy would resemble Tiger Woods very well, but in the game of the Big Nate Universe, there are no penalties, as everyone gets away with everything.
