This reminds me of a book I read to my daughter when she was little about three kids who wanted to make a cake but their mom said “not yet”, then left for the store. The three of them decided to make a cake without her permission but had no idea what they were doing and made a huge mess. When mom got home from the store with the ingredients for the cake the four of them set to making a proper cake, the younger said “let’s eat!”, and again, mom said, “not yet”. “GROAN!” The youngest one said, “I hate those words”. But after the cake cooled and iced, with delicious chocolate icing, he was glad they waited. I wonder if Greg read that story to Karen when she was little.
I’m probably old and too synical but, reading about so many kids not having enough food to eat and then read about this child wasting food, makes me angry. I know it is just a comic but, come on , now.
Too much baking soda will probably give the “cookies” a soapy taste and they’ll be somewhat large (fused into one big blob cookie?) and be crumbly like cake instead of “firm”. And hasn’t Shannon seen an adult bake cookies? Where’s the gallon of milk and a dozen or so eggs (with shells?) she thinks should be added?

Interesting is perhaps a too charitable word for what she’s cooking up.

I swear, a part-time job in a donut shop would be better for Luann than THIS. ;-)

Was it the 3 Stooges or the Little Rascals that made the exploding cake? Or both?
