Where I work, we used to have a potluck with our respective shift groups. The illness and passing of a shift supervisor who organized it, covid putting the nails in the coffin, ended it. It was interesting based on our diverse culture backgrounds. Still, awkward for me since I’m great cooking for one or two, overwhelmed for a group. But I managed.

You people are so pathetic. Just buy a bucket of chicken and you’re fine. Or ask if you can bring the soda, or pick up a cake at the bakery.

I never worked for a company that did potlucks. Considering I was in IT, probably a good thing.
