Garfield? A lack of filter between mind and mouth is pretty much the definition of rude.

Either Garfield ate Jon’s lunch or ate some good lasagna. It was good either way.

He looks so proud of himself!

And judging by the size of said gut, it has a lot to say!

I need to use that first line.

“I’m not rude. I just say what’s on my mind.”

Do you have to say it so loudly?

In some societies, a good burp is a sign of appreciation for one’s food. At least he’s not blowing his nose, when he blows his nose, at the table like a certain woman I know.

What was it Shrek said? “Better out than in!”

It must have been a good meal! or two, or three…

At least Garfield can get away with burping without excusing himself, not like when Calvin would get in trouble for doing so.

Garfield learned all his manners from the alley. He remembers that saying: “If you want the room to clear, you must belch for all to hear.” Words to live by.

Sometimes it’s best to keep what’s on your mind to yourself. Unless someone is being incredibly stupid.
