United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the Conference of the Parties to the Convention (COP) has convened member countries every year to determine ambition and responsibilities, and identify and assess climate measures
The richest 1% generate as much CO2 as the poorest 66% of people. So if serious about making cuts, look to the 1% to pay the price. Not the rest of us.
Some climate prognosticators are saying that all is lost: the world will continue polluting and using coal and oil for power. I still hold out hope that the power companies will realize that getting free energy via wind, solar, and wave action is better than using fossil fuels. And the EV’s are still leading the way for the auto’s of the future. With new battery packs that are cheaper, safer, faster charging, and longer lasting, the EV could match the ease of use of the ICE vehicles. And though the EV price might be a bit of sticker shock, the low cost of maintenance and high end EV features will entice buyers the world over. But, even with all these improvements, I suspect we’re still headed for 2 or even 3 degrees centigrade increases thus causing even more sea rise, droughts, floods, and other devastating weather patterns. But, we are a mammal capable of making changes and adapting. But, the other member of the ecosystem will go extinct and cause further difficulties in living for the still living.

Ironic that it’s in Arab nations that try to air condition the outdoors.

Carbon dioxide makes up just 0.041 percent of Earth’s atmosphere. And human activities are responsible for just 32 percent of that amount.
