An economy cannot collapse. It can have downs and up, u\but cannot go away. As long as needs and wants are unfulfilled, there will be work done to fill them. For example, people need food on their tables, which is why we have farmers, ranchers, fishermen, bakers, truck drivers, store checkers, et cetera.
