I do the same thing on a semi regular basis. My notebooks are full of car design/modification projects and “homebuilt” airplanes I NEVER intend to build.
It’s probably just well that some of their ideas never get out of the planning stage.
Ha! Should have shovels in the ground by Spring!
I remember my best friend and I planning huge elaborate tree forts were going to build as soon as we could get some lumber.
Planning can really be the fun part of the process.
