Agnes, I hardly think Grandma is going to be joyriding and wasting gasoline. I think she needs to watch every penny and every gallon.

The maintenance costs of that crummy truck is probably much more than the price of gas.

I doubt that Granny can get any kind of insurance on it—eve Safe Guard.

Make her walk to school in the snow, it’ll build character; or at least so I’m told.

Ever since I was young, I have been hearing that we have a finite supply of oil. And yet we keep finding more. Apparently scientists have even found carbo based fuels on Titan, a moon around Saturn—even more than what is here on Earth. Those must have been SOME dinosaurs on Titan!

Suppose the nursing home is in the trailer park.

Umm.. the truck is going to use the same amount of gas coming from a full tank or one a quarter full. Grandma is wise to take advantage of a lower price and fill the trucks gas tank.

Wow, Agnes is being way more selfish than she has ever been, very disappointed in her for acting like that, be nice to Grandma, she does the best she can on the little money she makes.
