If the cat hasn’t done it already…

I have to take my tree down today. Not that I want to, because it’s so nice to have extra light in these dark winter days.

Tree on left is TOO green! The tree on the right is more like it!

Wow! I was just wonderin’ to myself, as I always do, when should I take down my Christmas tree, and was thinkin’… there should be some kinda organized event specifically designated for just such an affair, and then BOOM!! … National Take Down Your Christmas Tree Day!

Now I don’t have to leave it up until after Valentine’s Day like I used to do. I just removed Christmas ornaments and hung hearts and Cupids and junk on it?

What a relief!

(I borrowed your Emu, Dave. I saw that you said you really wanted to draw one, and thought a little homage to the bird was in line. He’s a nice Emu… nice job!)

I took all my stuff down New Year’s Eve. I just have to flip the outside sign back to Welcome.

Since living alone, I haven’t had a tree. Problem solved. And I don’t have room to store an artificial tree.

It’s not written in stone to take your tree down! After all, I’ve seen twinkle lights all year long ! Whatever floats your boat. ☺️

Good to know there’s a holiday for that

Well, it is Twelfth Night. The 12 Days of Christmas, you know.

The local shopping center was taking down its wreaths today, by crane. Since it is Saturday I assume that it was scheduled long ago.

My lady honors her pagan roots by leaving her tree up until the equinox in March.

What?…so soon?!?

Made me laugh, partly because my wife is dismantling our tree as I write this!

Somebody screwed up. Today is the 12th day of Christmas or Epiphany. Tomorrow is the day my family and most families around us took down their trees.

I used to take things down on New Years Day, but then I had an epiphany when I learned that Jan 6 is Epiphany, the 12th day of Christmas so I leave them up until today (or tomorrow, depends how my back feels after shoveling)

Sigh…

Cats still hanging off neighbor’s tree, and with the snowstorm, quite frozen!!
