I have kicked kittens straight up in the air from under the covers to stop such an attack. Sometimes it worked; some kittens enjoyed it and came back for more.
My new cat, Earl Grey, spent part of last night attacking me. How dare I move him to get into my side of the bed! Then he tried to settle at my feet and attacked my big toe. Thankfully, I was able to get my toe away from his mouth while he ended up chomping on the bedspread and sheets! He insisted on sleeping alongside my leg most of the night. He is a sweet boy just a bit too playful at bedtime.

Should have nudged Mittens off of the bed. It may have been necessary to do it twice but he would get the idea Maybe..

Don’t reward attacks with treats.

Sorry, Mittens, no treats for you when you make my big toe bleed.

That Mittens is always on the job; except when HE wants to sleep

Tell him her feet are too sore to walk to the treat jar.
