Haggis anyone?

Scotland Yard is named after the London street where it’s located and has nothing to do with the country of Scotland. Per Wikipedia: " Its name derives from the location of the original Metropolitan Police headquarters at 4 Whitehall Place, which had its main public entrance on the Westminster street called Great Scotland Yard." Therefore, you won’t find kilt-wearing Scots working out of it.

Scotland Yard actually has and always been based in London. Scotland Yard got its name from the former public entrance of the Whitehall Place headquarters, which faced the St James district of Westminster. Originally, Whitehall Place had an exit called Great Scotland Yard, named because it originally housed the Scottish royal family when they visited England’s capital.
