People have been whining about kids not going out to play since the advent of the TV, and yet our local park has kids crawling all over these every nice day. Doomsayers need to get outside and observe real life once in a while.
My friend’s granddaughter LOVES the “playground” at the city’s museum: she’s absolutely fascinated by the escalator! Wonder if Gabby’d be interested. . .
Mike Thompson, leave your studio and get out in the real world. You’ll find kids on swings, on slides, running around playing soccer … I can go on and on.
And when you were a child, adults shook their heads and complained to each other that you and your friends spent way too much time watching TV.

Are you kidding? My 6 yr old granddaughter wants to play on any she sees when we pass in the car. And she has to be bribed to leave one!

Newsflash! Nobody’s playing on the playground because it’s too cold!

Talk about missing the point. And not many kids are on playgrounds this time of year.

Looks like a kid would have to climb a rope net to get to the slide. That ladder goes nowhere.

They’re still there, but they’ve kinda dumbed them down, don’t anybody to get hurt.
