Careful, Fred. You’ve always been such a sociable lad up until now.

Dogs won’t mind when you tease them – if you’ve done it since they were pups, little pups.

Don’t pester doggies, even docile ones…

Don’t pull on doggy’s ears. That can make them very cranky!

Tis how we learn … For some it’s the hard way ;-)

My girl doesn’t like her ears touched, but she has never been aggressive, she just gets away from you, but comes right back, she’s a sweetie. And once in a while she lets me rub her ears, they are soft and feel like Velvet. German Shorthaired Pointers have to be one of the Friendliest breeds. I got lucky.

Teasing dogs is not the best way to go!

Gently, Fred, she’s only a child; just walk away from her and sit by one of your owners.

Every dog has a limit.

The Dog Contract, like the Cat Contract, states that any child may do what it likes to you (as long as it isn’t abuse, that is)

This is a very effective PSA about why you don’t allow small children to interact with dogs without adult supervision. Fred has been quite patient, but there comes a point when no more will be tolerated.
