Democrats don’t seem to get it. If there was a serious problem (and under Biden, that is very likely because no one fears him), they wouldn’t be able to get Austin on the hot line, Biden was on yet another vacation (40% of the time so far), so do we want Kamala deciding if we should launch a nuke? I don’t think so.

How dare he take time for cancer treatments‽ Really, though, ya gotta tell your boss.

As the sibling of a prostate cancer survivor, I think Secretary Austin was right to get treatment when he did. That said, Austin should have kept President Biden, VP Harris, his Deputy Secretary, etc. in the loop about treatment. But I personally would chalk that up to basic human error. We all drop the ball from time to time. With all the stuff going on in Ukraine, Gaza, etc., everyone should be on the same page as much as possible.

Where is Trump for that whole time he was in the hospital with a panic attack and no one said anything until the following week?

Any one who worked for Lloyd Austin and pulled the stunt he did, Austin would have him fired. Like a lot of the JCS, our Defense Secretary does not respect Biden.
