Deuces is disoriented after beating the mole people in an all-night poker game.
Snookums has Minthandy right where she wants him, and it looks like time to bring the money mark to her boss for a plucking.
Joel is happy to hear about the engagement, and as a timeless character, he can afford to wait until 2034 (if need be) for that sweet open bar at the reception. Store-bought liquor!
Slim makes a good point. Clovia admitting that she is wrong is completely out of character for her (at least, as Scancarelli has portrayed her character—it fits Moores’ depiction of Clovia perfectly).
When one thinks that this strip can’t get any dumber, it just does. Clovia, rather than using her cellphone – a device that is been in been in general usage for more than a quarter of a century- to call Slim she instead calls the police to have them find him and tell him that it’s all her fault. And they get a cop to do it! In what universe would that happen? In real-life, cops are overworked and don’t even have enough time to go after real-life bad guys or to assist people that need real help. This kind of story line isn’t even good enough to be used in a bad Disney Chanel sitcom. Jombo continues to fiddle while GA burns to the ground.
