Watching the news?

I wish I could pick up my phone and say “Hello, Mom?”

Wouldn’t have thought that Cosmo’s Mother was still with us, given his ‘age’ (from his looks—although he could be ‘pre-maturely aged’ from having to work for ‘Shoe’ ! ! ! !

the conceit that parents know anything about anything is highly optimistic

I tell the cats they have to leave the room because they are too young.

Even American children’s shows today should require parental guidance.

I do not recall my mother censoring anything for me-books movies etc.

My mom threw a fit once when she caught us kids (as teens) watching “Three’s Company.”

Parental guidance?…what’s that??

“This program contains graphic violence, nude scenes and explicitly vile language. So, it’s perfectly okay for you to watch, kiddies!” O<[|;o)

This makes me think of one of those “Bad First Dates” articles that circulate online. In this case a woman was saying that her date, a man who was in his mid 20’s or maybe even 30, called his mother during the date to ask if it was okay for him to see an “R” rated movie. Mom said no, so going to the movie was out, as was a second date.
