Learning a foreign language forces you to learn grammar. My German mother would correct my English!

My knowledge of English grammar improved when I studied other languages.

Same with US history..

And if you’ve read JumpStart over the years; you know that’s the truth!

Beyond the problems with maintaining native speech, I worry that at some point I would be required to take the same test as aliens to maintain my citizen status. Old joke, of all the things I’ve ever lost, I miss my mind the most.

Is Hector gonna be a mainstay? I need to know this before he most likely disappears off the face of the Earth after a while.

True! My first and only language is English but you would never know it.

I’ve met people who were ferociously proud of only knowing English… not that they made much effort to learn to spell anything with it, but y’know… they take their pride where they insist there might possibly be some.

I like the new kid! What do you call someone who speak 3 languages? Trilingual. 2 languages? Bilingual. One language? American. (I’ll show myself out…)
