Just remember, Hinduism dates back way further than the piñata. Gotta love modern technology!

And Little Miss Muffet will again boycott the Hindu Festival until the people of Krishna Janmashtami find another “whey” to get the curds out of the pots.

It wouldn’t look like they were floating if they wore knee-length skirts.

    Curds away!

I’m thinking Pinatas are more fun. Even if a bit more violent.

Break open a clay pot of curds? Right over the participant’s heads? When does this get good?

I once heard that instead of curds, a hard of hearing person confused it with türds, and resulted in quite a dis-asster!

Calamondin/calamansi are NOT oranges. They are an entirely different citrus fruit. Saying that it produces oranges is like saying a lime tree produces green oranges. Used a lot in Filipino cuisine, they are akin to a mix of lemon and lime but with a little sweetness. Very hard to find the fruit in the states (I know there are a few groves in Florida, but not enough for national commercial output), but most Asian stores will carry concentrate. My wife and I had a bush for a few years, but every year it produced less fruit and it eventually died. I am not a good plant daddy, though I keep trying.

Is the clay pot of curds originally hung by a human pyramid, or do they use a bucket truck like everyone else?

Another Hindu festival is Holi. It is sometimes called “The Festival of Colors” because people throw colored powder or colored water at each other.
