While I do not condone the actions of Leopold, I can certainly understand them as someone who has been attacked dogs while walking where the owners just say some inane comment excusing the lack of discipline. I do carry a large club (juggling club – it has the perfect weight distribution for swinging) and will use it to defend myself.
