Well, this is embarrassing…I’m reading books by Carl Sagan and other brilliant minds studying the universe, and I find I must read outloud or my brain just glazes over and comprehends nothing. Good thing I live alone.
So for the last couple of days I’d noticed that my cat Ivy had been licking around her nether regions quite a lot, so got her down the vet this morning. I thought she’d possibly got a urinary infection, but fortunately it wasn’t. It turned out to be blocked anal-glands, which is very unusual in a cat. The vet expressed them, and got out lumps the size of a sultana, which is why she must have been very uncomfortable. Ivy was very good during the procedure, and while not happy with me taking her to the vet, must be (Hopefully) somewhat more comfortable with life, the universe, and everything!
Forget it, Wolfie, that bird is wise to your scheme. Proof that reading pays off. Good poem. On another note, saw a crow, three juncos, three geese, and a rabbit while out walking today.

Today is:
NATIONAL SPOUSES DAY
NATIONAL GREEN JUICE DAY. I’ll stick with orange juice. Or grapefruit juice. Or even cranberry juice. Green juice doesn’t appeal to me.
NATIONAL BIG WIG DAY
NATIONAL FUN AT WORK DAY. I’ll be at work, but I don’t expect it to be fun. I have more fun on my days off.
NATIONAL PEANUT BRITTLE DAY

Smart bird. Further proof that reading is beneficial.
