Our education system has been devoid of parenting classes to help people learn and understand the responsibilities of raising children. And unfortunately, for too many their only examples are of what not to do (and therefore not where the middle ground might be), while having no idea that taking it to the other extreme can be equally detrimental.
Iām all for personal responsibility. People tend to respect that more.
I like what Jeff Foxworthy once said: āJust once, Iād like to see some kid go on āDr. Philā and say, āYou know, my mama was great, my daddy was great ā Iām just a [poop]headā.ā
Too many things are attributed to ābad parenting.ā Just because someone ends up with a record as a child-molester, criminal, etc., is NOT indicative of bad parenting. Sometimes, yes, but, also, sometimes, somewhere, along that path to adult age, that person made their own decisions to veer from the route their parents tried to lead them down.

One of my 3 definitely is in the right (not correct) lane. Every stupid thing he does is my fault or so he thinks.
