Fun Fact. Ration Coupon shows that this strip is from the war years. My Grandfather had a car during the war. He got extra gas rations as he drove 4 or 5 guys to work in the aircraft factory he worked in.
Reminded of a wartime Popeye version of Jack and the Beanstalk – instead of gold coins, the giant had stacks of tires. As a kid I thought it was cool like the stacks of tires outside one of the box stores; later I learned about rationing.
I believe history will repeat itself and the government will ration again. Not because of war, but to control what we buy. We all experienced it somewhat during the epidemic.

Sell him a can of Eureka Shoe Oil.
Eureka Shoe Oil Ask for it by name.
Available wherever fine shoe lubricants are sold.
Did you know, they still sell shoe polish? I thought I was the last guy who still polished his shoes. Must be a few more out there somewhere.
