The Federal Appeals Court just unanimously rejected Trump’s claim of absolute immunity. The court, with its conservative members, ruled that Trump was subject to Federal law like everyone else.

    One step closer to justice.

‘Inexcusable betrayal’: Liz Cheney buries her party for following ’Trump’s orders’

Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) this week brought the hammer down on her party for blowing up a bipartisan compromise on immigration that would have also provided aide to help Ukraine defend itself from Russian military aggression.

Writing on Twitter, Cheney accused the GOP of sabotaging America’s national security interests simply to help former President Donald Trump politically.

“On Trump’s orders, Republicans in Congress are rejecting the border security deal,” she wrote. “They’re also abandoning America’s allies in Ukraine. Trump and the GOP are losing the war on purpose in an inexcusable betrayal that will strengthen America’s enemies for years to come.”

“Vance also admitted he would have done what VP Pence refused to do on January 6th — help Trump illegally seize power,” Cheney wrote on Twitter. “Neither Trump nor Vance is fit to serve.”

Republicans like Eric will lie to your face and spit in your eye.

if the court says he’s immune then they lose their power and since nobody wants to lose their power so he’s no longer immune, bye Don

Republicans had complete control of all three branches of government, including both chambers, during Trump’s first two years.

What immigration legislation was passed? ZERO.

What immigration legislation was proposed? ZERO.

What immigration legislation was debated? You know the answer.

    .

Republicans do NOT care about illegal immigration and never have. NEVER.

It is nothing but one more ‘issue’ to weaponize and LIE about.

The border crisis has had both parties at fault for doing nothing for decades. Blaming one party is pointless, or at least it was until the Dotard and his sycophants torpedoed the best deal they had ever been offered in order to prolong it and make it a campaign issue.

Now, it’s much harder to blame both sides.

Talk about denial. In 2017 to 2019, the republicans had control of both houses and the Presidency. Did they fix the Immigration laws then? No. This year, the Legislature is in republican hands and they managed to blackmail President Biden by holding up aid to Ukraine and Israel in order to get legislation to “control the border”. The President and Democratically controlled Senate caved and worked out a deal with republican negotiators. The result – when Trump said don’t do it, the republicans reneged.

Now there will be no aid to Ukraine or Israel(something both sides of the aisle support) and no tools for the President to manage the border. The republicans WANT chaos at the border.

    Who’s in denial about that?

A Senate compromise bill included nearly everything the Republicans demanded to fix the border problem. Trump said he didn’t want it passed because he wanted to campaign on the border issue. The Republican House immediately declared it DOA before they even saw it. Now some of the very Senators who backed the compromise are saying they can’t support it. The Republicans are no longer a functioning party, they are Trump’s toadies.

    Awesome toon!

    1) Biden puts out the welcome mat on Day 1.

    2) Millions upon millions of migrants take up his offer and flood in. The Dems deny there’s a problem for 3 years, including most of the leftists in this forum.

    3) Reality sets in for Dems when 1) it’s an election year and 2) now other Democrats are screaming about this Biden caused crisis when their kids are getting tossed out of schools and rec centers to make way for migrants, and migrants are beating up cops. Even Al Sharpton called what’s going on an “invasion.”

    4) Dems reach out to some weak Republicans and craft a lousy bill with a quota system and attach it to funding their proxy war with Russia. Conservatives don’t like it, neither to open border squad members and their moronic followers.

    5) Trump speaks out against this POS bill, and automatically the Dems blame Trump for the 3 year old crisis that the Biden regime caused and ignored until now! The corpse in chief is busy blaming Trump when he’s not busy talking to President Mitterrand from Germany, I mean from France.

“Biden ended the national emergency declaration at the border, ended wall construction, ended remain in MX & safe third agreements, announced he wouldn’t deport anyone in his first 100 days, changed ICE priorities on who they can remove, said during campaign we should ‘surge the border with asylum seekers — they should come!’

His DHS Secretary has taken the position that just being in the U.S. illegally is not grounds for removal. Mass catch and release on a scale the country has never seen, [m]iniscule amounts of deportations, not following current Title 8 laws on the books. Little to no consequences for illegally crossing."
