Sisters. What are you going to do?

From Not Always Right: Sisterly Love

(I am about 19 years old. I am sitting in my bedroom with the window open, which opens to the backyard. My mother is attempting to put together a patio set. I am considered the toughest out of my siblings, even though I am the only girl.)

Brother: walks outside to see my mother struggling with the patio set

Brother: “Hey, Mom, would you like a strong, tough man to help you?”

Mother: “Yeah, go get your sister!”

Luckily, mine isn’t a hot mess, and I adore her anyway.

A person or thing that is a mess, as in being disorganized, confused, or untidy, yet remains attractive or appealing:

But would you say that Aunty if she quit her job at the Jim Beam Distillery?

If Aunty’s sister is a Hot Mess, what does that make Aunty???

Aunty sounding like a Lesbian – but her sister? Golly gee. Go figure.

Hot messes run in the family.

I’m the hot mess. I wonder if my sister would say that about me?

My sis (5 years younger) & I were at each other’s throats half the time growing up. Now we’re thick as thieves!

I love my sister to pieces, but, she could take the ears off a marble statue. As she’s going on, and on, I can set the phone down, and come back in 5 minutes, and she’s still going.

Don’t ever take your sister, or any sibling whether brother or sister, for granted because you never know when you will lose them and how hard it will be. I speak of experience as my sister died 4 months ago.
