Fear isn’t necessarily logical. Fear can kill logic. Fred is shown as being afraid of mice yet he sometimes chases cats as well as rabbits. It would have been good if a strip had shown Fred chase a cat and then run from a mouse and the cat then chase the mouse chasing Fred.
Ran out of nightcrawlers while fishing and I volunteered to go look for some. I upturned a @ 15 lb. rock and freaked out. This guy was as fat around as my thumb and @ 13 inches in length. I dropped it in a flash and ran back and told them they can find their own worms. Nightcrawlers I don’t mind, but that was something out of a horror flick.

In California we had potato bugs which looked like Frankenstein assembled it. You’d turn one up when digging. Everyone’s first reaction is ugh kill!
