So while the cat is out watching the squirrel, the sound of ‘tinka tinka tinka’ is Captain Henry stirring up the cat food in the bowl? Huh very funny. Many laughs. Certainly by the looks of the cat’s weight, apparently the cat doesn’t seem to go hungry for want of food.
Has the mouse population been going down lately? Certainly the song birds the ship had aboard a year ago have mysteriously vanished.
Our neighborhood cats are so lazy, the only squirrels they will go for are roadkill. I once had three cats, a mother and two kittens. I also had a small dog, a rat terrier. I never knew why the dog was called that till he came out from under the house with a mouse in its mouth. Then the cats, with the mouse about dead, took the mouse for sport.
My cat only brought home live critters…we had rabbits hopping around the living room, a mouse dropped down the cold air return, a vole was blindly scurrying around the basement, a bird fluttering at my feet…..never a dull moment…but nobody died.

Perhaps Fancy Feast tastes better than raw squirrel meat.

I never did find the chipmunk one of my cats brought in last summer. I hope the poor little critter got back out.

Yup—the temptation will get ya if you’re not careful. Thankfully, a critter was spared in this situation.
Good Evening, Crew.
