For a wedding gift for my nephew and his wife I gave them a box of stuff from my junk drawer. I’d hidden a gift card in the bottom of it. I gave my niece and her husband a bag of garbage with a 100 dollar bills intermixed with garbage, I used stuff that I could clean and junk mail.
MY home has at least three junk drawers and one very large junk bucket. About once a year I toss everything in the junk bucket in the trash. Never missed an item yet.

If you haven’t used something in a year, you don’t need it. I just need my wife to buy into that de-cluttering rule
