Me thinks Mary Lou was hoping to use the same ‘Rents as blockers, but she couldn’t quite get them in the door.

Gus is so noble. Giving up the cottage so that Arlo and Janis can be closer to them when they visit. (and use the hot tub (wink wink nudge nudge)).

I’m really enjoying this “let’s treat a grown adult like a child and make decisions on his behalf without his input” sequence.

I understand how Gus feels, but I also know how the kids feel.

Nice that the kids have an arc for a change. More interesting than Ludwig stuff.

I wonder if I would make a good excuse for someone else.

How funny that, while the kids are sitting by the fire all wrapped up in warm clothing, the Comments have focused on nudity. On another issue: I appreciate JJ’s efforts [especially in panel 2] to show reflections from the fire pit on the kids.

I’m not I am at the age where my kids think I need a keeper.
