A garden, no matter how zen, would not keep out the chatty Kathy’s who keep disrupting your “me” time unless it has a big wall and a lock on the door.
It took several years and consulting with Japanese gardeners in San Francisco and Vancouver as well as all kinds of literature and video, but we have a pretty good start to one. As Eddi-TBH said above, it is a permanent work in progress. That is part of the zen of it all.
