It’s a three-part harmony version of classics for the 6th:
The governor is wondering why he’s going to some speck of a town that doesn’t even make most maps of the territory, but the polls are just that close, so no vote can afford to go uncontested. Work, work, work… work, work, work…
Maryjane is wondering why Brenda is dragging her out to the central park in the middle of the night to find the spot where she saw the black orchid, but I imagine it’s going to be Waldo who ends up heartbroken if our Starr has indeed caught up to the infamous Basil St. John. (Who IIRC is still a wanted man in Gotham from his last appearance.)
Everyone in creation is wondering how Slim, the soft touch, and jellyfish of a gas pump manager has suddenly “made it” – and turned things around to become top of the heap. The Kid is A-number-1, top of the list, King of the Hill.. A-number-1 (because the lyricist got lazy)…

Rufus has been the day janitor at City Hall for years—-took t he job so he could see Miss Melba every day.
He’s the only man in whose hands a mop is a lethal weapon

Of course this halfwit had to make an appearance. Now it’s just a matter of time until his illiterate alcoholic bestie shows up.

Exactly when did Rufus start looking and acting like Goofy from Mickey Mouse?
