    I sat in the chair, the ophthalmologist set my current prescription into the device, put in front of me and asked me to read the chart. I could barely make out the first line, she looked and said, “oops, one more setting I forgot”.

    There actually is a slowly-increasing myopia epidemic. Contact lenses and laser surgery make it less obvious but it is happening. Many believe it may be caused by young people spending too much time close-focusing on personal device screens.

    I used to have pop bottle glasses…cataract surgery was the best thing that could’ve happened to me!

    All those machines are very expensive to clean if they get smudges and fingerprints on them. My eye doctor has 2 signs in each exam room, one right inside the door and another right by the machines, stating the fact and cautions parents if they let their kids mess with the machines and eye doctor has to send them out to be cleaned the parent is responsible for the bill.
