We built our own cars, found a car, swapped a bumper for an engine, used recycled oil?? Just made them go!

Does that mean Patrick can’t even hit a ball, Ralph?

For a baseball bat to be more expensive than a car, it must be an antique Louisville Slugger.

My first car cost me $75. It ran for 3 months. It got me back and forth to work and out with my friends. Not a bad investment really.

When we had an RV, many times a full tank of gas was more expensive than my first car. ;-D

So, Dad, what am I supposed to do with it? Hang it on the wall and just look at it? ☺️

my first car was a 74 dj-5c postal jeep we got for $500, worked great until my dad “fixed” the gas tank but never completed the installation of the filler neck.

First Car – ’55 Buick – $35.

Ran for years. I actually gave it to my sister on her 16th Birthday because I got another car.

A Tonka truck doesn’t count as a first car, Ralph.

The first baseball bats my brother and I got was at an American Legion game for 16-18 year old boys in 1952. They broke 2 bats, one 36 inch my brother got since he was bigger than I and I got a 34 inch. We took them home and with some Elmer’s glue and screws, we fixed the cracks and taped them. I still have them. I still hit rocks out of the yard into the woods with them.

How much do bats cost? I’m old and my first car was $400. A regular baseball bat can’t cost that much!

Come on Ralph! That’s the same advice you gave Norman and now he can’t even tie his shoes let alone hit a fastball! Swing away Patrick!

Dick’s sporting goods has bats for over $500, way more than Ralph Drabble’s or my first cars

Way to inspire him to be a better player. Glad you didn’t buy him a glove too.

Parents always have to say stuff like that. How about telling Patrick to be careful as gratitude for Ralph getting him the bat?

My brother’s first car was a 1958 Ford. My dad paid $50 it. They never did et it to run.

Don’t hit anything with it? Better call in good ol Charlie Brown to coach him.
