It has been decades since the last time I defrosted a freezer. I used to use a spatula to chip away at the ice. I didn’t use anything sharp, because I didn’t want to poke a hole in the freon line.
Mother just took the “ICE” sign out of the window. The iceman and his horse and cart would pass on by. However, the natural gas meter man would, once a month, knock on the back door and wander on in … go down to the cellar and take the reading. The electricity meter, however, was located outside, near the back door. The milkman left the milk (two quarts) on the front step, and the paperboy stuffed the newspaper in the letterbox. Fully serviced household.
Maybe the movie is 30 years old too, most of the best ones are, and that’s why he looks the same. We think of actors, and ourselves, as they were and not as they are now.

Looking at his TV, he needs new appliances. Strange how the couch looks new. His beer can looks like the old pull tabs, too.
